Feature Requests

Wayland makes it difficult to manage shared control, but it may be possible for us to enable screen shares + drawing on Wayland. If you'd rather use X11 with full control, do not upvote this issue! However, if this would obviate the need for you to switch to X11 most of the time, please upvote this feature request so we can accurately understand your perspective.

When we tried to screenshare from the browser it asked to download the app. It would be great if users didn't need to download the app to screen share (same as where.by which required no download). We often have clients screenshare with us as we show them how to do things and downloading a external program and be problematic from some of them.

Can we implement share feature similar to Zoom or Google Meet where the user can just share a window?

When in a meeting, set my Slack status to "🖥 In a Screen meeting", and unset it when I'm done. If a custom status is in place, just replace the emoji and revert it when done.

It would be very useful to have the possibility of sending files via chat, just like zoom does

Often I am in a meeting with one person who is in the same physical room as I am and I would like to be able to mute them specifically as to not create feedback. This would be a big help.

As a user I want to be able to limit the people that are allowed to join my meeting. Anyone who has the link can join the meeting now.

Sometimes a ghost copy of a participant gets stuck in a connecting state which gets really annoying. The only way out of it currently is to start a new meeting. Being able to kick out a participant, or solving the bug of the eternally connecting ghost user would be great.

I’d like to share my system audio in a Screen meeting (e.g. while playing a video, or other sound effects on my computer).

Ability to blur the video background, so just the outline of the user is displayed, at home I don't really want to let other users see the children run around or the books in the bookcase or the untidy bedroom in the background
