[Windows] Can't control programs running as admin
B
Brendan Weibrecht
I was trying using Screen to provide tech support to my Mum this evening. While controlling a Windows 10 machine from my Linux one, I tried to launch Process Explorer, but the popup to allow running the program as Administrator did not show up and I couldn't control anything anymore. Once she clicked Allow herself, I could see the program, but could not interact with it. I had to switch to TeamViewer to continue debugging effectively.

This is a security feature of Windows, that only allows apps running with admin permissions to interact with apps that have admin permissions. You can right click the Pop icon and select Run as Administrator to get around this issue. Does that solve the problem?

I just had my first sharing session (I'm on mac, they were on windows). And while I could
click
on their screen, I could not type. I am running karabiner-elements on my end, if that is important.J Sherwani (Pop Team)

Similar problem, I can type as long as there is no Administrator Powershell open - not sure if this is a bug or a security feature.
